Fable Muse: Meet Axel
For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved fashion and writing a good character story, so I decided to marry the two and bring out a new section called Fable Muse. I haven't decided if this will be a weekly or bi-weekly thing just yet but it’ll be a place where I will introduce you to a new character and her profession. We will get about 3 or 4 looks from her everyday life. Usually consisting of a work fit, out with the girls, date night, and some other functions that align with her everyday life. You’ll also be able to shop her fictional closet. Im excited for this segment because it’ll allow me to be playful and expressive until I can build the closet of my dreams. So lets escape into a fashion wonderland with our first girl, Axel.
Isn't she the cutest! But lets also be clear, all Muse women come from Pinterest [just in case anyone comes for me]. But here is what you need to know about Axel. Shes originally from Texas but lives in Brooklyn, before it became the trendy place to be. She’s 32 and her fashion inspiration came from her mothers love for 50’s pinup models, burlesque girls, with a mix of her father’s millitary background. Some of her favorite brands are Agent Provocateur, McQueen [archive McQueen always], Vivienne Westwood, Self Portrait and Magda Butrym.
Axel is pretty young to be an Art Dealer so she loves to play the “yes I am young and sexy, but please believe I can put you in your place if need be, real quick”, when it comes to her wardrobe. She marriages her parents identities into her everyday look. This afternoon she has quite a few errands to take care of, so she goes for an AP Mercy Corset, Kiko Kostadinov Khaki Chasseur Trousers, Margiela Tabi City Loafer Mules, Proenza Large Chelsea Tote, and Akila Radiant x Keith Haring Sunnies.
One thing Axel is always down for, is a good drink with some good food. While she’s not the biggest drinker, she can hold her own. Having a military dad helped her drink any of the frat guys under the table in college, but thats one thing she likes to keep in her arsenal. Axel’s favorite time of the year is when she gets to explore new artists but even more so, delve into artists she's admired for years and finally get the opportunity to see their work in person. This is when she gets to pull out all the stops with both her knowledge and client book, so of course her outfit needs to reflect that as well. One thing Axel will always be is a lover girl. She loves a date, and that can be anything from a Michelin star restaurant to getting greasy Chinese food and watching and old movie. Seeing her parents have that old school love, Axel never settle for anything less. Tonight she’s going to a jazz night at the Moxie Hotel.
